Page 1 of Saw DVD Reviewer Region Hack for Grundig 210, and it works! But...

I tried the Grundig 210 hack, and it does work. I tried "Clockwork Orange", which wouldn`t play before, and it`s fine. I`m thinking of getting "mission impossible 2" on Region 1. Does anyone see any problems with this?
Now the question I`m asking is, do I have to put in the hack everytime, or is it stuck now? (it can be reversed if I want it to, I know that)

when you use the hack for this player it changes the player to a region 1 machine. to return it to region 2 you need to open the draw , put a region 2 disc in the draw but do not close it, them press return then play to return the player to region 1.
If your player won`t play particular disc`s you need to changed the players firmware. If you contact Grundig they will be able to advise you further. They may send you a cd rom with the firmware on ( just put it in your player ) or they may ask you to take it to a dealer so they can do the upgrade ( usualy for free ).
Unless you have any problems playing disc`s ( region 1 or 2 ) you will not need to do this.

Thanks for your reply. What I have found though is that with the hack on I can still play region 2, as well as region 1. Is that a strange occurance? Or is it completely normal. Thanks again.

As we understand it, if the hack says "To change the region" then you will need to change it each time you use a disc from a different region. But if it says "To convert this machine to a multi-region player" then its a one off deal that you never have to use again.
