Page 1 of Philips 703 model hackable?

Hello people!

I`d like to know if I can hack it with the 750 model instructions?

Any ideas?

BTW, is it a good DVD Player? Cause I`m thinking in buying it...

The 750hack should work with most PHILIPS players.
Anyway,DVD703 is the lowest end player of the 700series.It serves the basic functions without any on board DD/5.1 decoding.It plays mp3.
If you are looking for a PHILIPS player that plays mp3 + 5.1 audio processing,check out the DVD761k which is goning to be available in the australia in coming weeks.

I do never try the 750 hack that i found on the 703 Phillips page because i think is very confusing, instead of that i been using this instructions (that actually works):

1- With the try closed and without any disc on it press "PLAY"
2- on the Remote press the numbers 1 5 9 on that secuence
3- In the display it will appear `-----------`, then press 005 000 128 156 (note that you have to type 12 numbers but the display only shows 11 spaces, this is normal, just type the 12 numbers)
4- Press "PLAY"
5- The TV set will blink a little bit
6- The DVD will now be region 1
7- to return the DVD to region 4 follow the steps 1 to 4 changing the secuence on the step 3 to 002 000 128 156

That secuence actually works ok
