Page 1 of Grundig GDV211a

Has anybody purchased this machine? I think it is a new model to replace the GDV210. Is there a handset hack for it?

I would like to know the same information! how would one go about region hacking this beautiful machine!

i think that player ia a clone, try the hack that works for orion and jmb players..... as follows

switch power on.....press open,,stop,,, and forward skip buttons on player for at least 3 seconds (press all three at same time),, a menu should appear listing regions available, select region free at bottom of list using the remote up/down cursor buttons,, then exit. one more thing to note if this works,,, when playing a region one disc in ntsc, unless your tv will accept this signal you can alter the player to play back in pal via the colour sytem/adjustment menu....mine works just fine hope it does for you too .respond if you wis with outcome

Thank-you for the hack, it works, so that all of us Grundig users can now use muti-region dvd`s.

thanks for the hack it worked fine on my machine,no problems with nstc to pal either
do you know if this hack has any limitations ie. can it only be changed so many times or is it infinite

Does this work for GDV210 machines then? And if so, if I change it to "Region Free" does this mean it will play all regions? And that to watch one of my normal Region 2 dvd`s I won`t have to hack it back to normal again?
The reason I ask is because I don`t want to have to keep having to hack the machine everytime I want to watch a DVD. I suppose the easy solution would be to buy a multi-region. But I can`t afford one!
