For everyone and anyone who seems to have difficulty in using the search forum on this site (HA!) - here are the FAQs from my website

Q. DOES THE PHILIPS REMOTE HACK LOCK AFTER 25 CHANGES OF REGION.
A. YES. PHILIPS HAVE SAFEGAURDED THEIR MACHINES (HA!) SO THAT YOU CAN ONLY CHANGE REGIONS 25-30 TIMES

Q. DOES THE ONEFORALL HACK LOCK AFTER 25 TIMES, LIKE THE PHILIPS REMOTE HACK?
A. NO. THE REMOTE SENDS A DIFFERENT TYPE OF SIGNAL TO DVD AND DOES NOT RESET THE MACHINE OR ADD TO THE EEPROM COUNTER

Q. WILL I HAVE TO ENTER THE CODE EACH TIME I WANT TO WATCH A DISC FROM A DIFFERENT REGION?
A. NO. THE CODE ENABLES ALL REGIONS

Q. MY DVD IS LOCKED AFTER 25 CHANGES USING THE PHILIPS REMOTE, CAN I STILL USE THE ONEFORALL HACK?
A. YES. THE ONEFORALL GIVES UNLIMITED ACCESS TO THE REGION SETTINGS AND CAN BE USED TO UNLOCK REGION LOCKED PLAYERS

Q. CAN I USE A DIFFERENT ONEFORALL REMOTE OR DOES IT HAVE TO BE THE ONEFORALL 6?
A. YOU CAN USE ANY ONEFORALL THAT HAS THE MAGIC FACILTIY AND IS ABLE TO CONTROL DVD PLAYERS USING SETUP CODE 0539 OR 539

Q. CAN I USE MY SKY DIGITAL REMOTE?
A. HAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Q. CAN YOU WATCH RCE ENCODED FILMS LIKE THE PATRIOT AND THE HOLLOW MAN
A. YES. I HAVE TESTED THE HOLLOW MAN ON MY 751

Q. PLEASE CAN YOU TELL ME WHICH BUTTON IS THE MAGIC BUTTON?
A. THE ONE LABELED MAGIC!

Q. I HAVE ENTERED THE CODE BUT MY REGION DISC PLAY IN BLACK & WHITE
A. YOU NEED TO HAVE A TV THAT ACCEPTS AN RGB SIGNAL. MOST NEW TV`S HAVE 2 SCART IMPUTS, ONE RGB AND THE OTHER COMPOSITE. TRY SWITCHING. YOU ALSO NEED TO HAVE A SCART LEAD THAT CAN CARRY AN RGB SIGNAL

Q. I HAVE ENTERED THE CODE BUT ONLY 11 DIGITS WERE DISPLAYED
A. IF YOU LOOK CAREFULLY, THE TWELFTH DIGIT TAKES THE FORM OF A SMALL DOT OR A SMALL NUMBER

Q. I HAVE USED PLAY 247 WITH THE ORIGINAL REMOTE AND ENTERED THE MULTIREGION CODE BUT NOTHING HAPPENS
A. YOU CAN NOT USE THE RC6, MULTI-REGION CODE WITH THE ORIGINAL REMOTE. YOU HAVE TO USE A ONEFORALL, A PALM PILOT OR A PHILIPS PRONTO

Q. AFTER USING THE PLAY 247 CODE, MY PLAYER NOW DISPLAYS A LOWE BACKGROUND (OR MARANTZ OR GRUNDIG)
A. YOU MUST USE PLAY 159 AND THE CORRECT CODE TO RESET THE PLAYER TO A PHILIPS BACKGROUND

WELL I THINK MY PHILIPS DVD PLAYER MAY HAVE IT IN FOR ME AS I HAVE NOW TRIED EVERYTHING AND STILL NOTHING IT`S JUST NOT PLAYING BALL I AM USING THE ONE FOR AKK URC-7560 MAY ALSO HASTEN TO ADD I BOUGHT FOR THE DVD PLAYER WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY I THINK I SHOULD HAVE JUST HAD IT CHIPPED IF YOU THINK YOU CAN HELP PLEASE DO I WOULD BE GRATEFUL AS THE DVD PLAYER WILL SOON BE GOING TO DVD PLAYER HEAVEN IF IT DOES NOT PLAY BALL.

I have tried using the PalmV for hacking a friends 751, the display changes to ----------- as you say but using the dvd remote isn`t displaying the code , does this mean I need to upgrade his firmware or am I missing something? Your advice would be welcome. I have read the FAQ but am no nearer.
Thanks for all your time and efforts put into enabling people the freedom to watch what they want.Keep up the good work it`s appreciated.

As i am going away for a couple weeks and won`t be able to answer any Philips Questions....i thought i`d bring this thread to the top again.....seeing so many people seem unable to search the forum...

Without making you go AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR again, is it poss to make the Philips 711 `Multi region` ??, or do I have to keep entering the code for each region using my One for All URC-7030, I made it Region 1 ok and presumably I have to enter the region 2 code for those disks ?.

Just like haGGis, said"if only people would use the search or read". Go to the left of the screen, under INFO enter multi-regions hacks. Choose remoteable hacks. Go down to the bottom of the page a click on page twenty. You will find the answer there.

I have a philips model 702AT, bought in the USA.
I tried the palmV with omniremote hack but it didnt work !!! My dvd does NOT show the "-------" dashes.

I tried to update the firmware, but the DVD reads the CD as an mp3 disc.

How can I skip the copy protection that some one DVD have...?

I have a Philips 703 DVD.....
