BUSH BTV663DVD

SUE GATES (Harmless) posted this on Friday, 29th October 2004, 18:21

Well after just 8 months my Bush BTV663DVD has developed a fault and has been returned for a full refund.

I have just gone out and bought a Pacific 900 dvd player from Asda for £30 and hacked it straight away!

So now I`m just going to replace the tv .... all at less than half the price I paid for the BTV663DVD.

I decided that : a: it`s just unhackable, and b: if one part goes wrong it ALL goes wrong.

So I would advise against the all in one units for anyone considering buying one.

Just my opinion !

Hi,

could I just ask what had gone wrong with the set?

It just kept losing power !
It was on standby but when I turned on the power the whole thing just went dead.
If I removed the plug and reinserted it I could get back to standby but if I tried to switch -on it just disabled again.
I had purchased it via mail order and as it was within the 12 months warranty they arranged for it to be collected for either a refund or replacement.
It was a very nice set but as it couldn`t be hacked and as the whole thing had packed up I decided against the replacement.
£30 and a cheap dvd player from Asda later and I can watch ALL my dvd`s again.
