could someone out there please tell if RCE discs will play on a chipped Sanyo DVD 1500.I want to buy Charlies Angels and Big Trouble In Little China,but they are both rce and i need to know if they will work.

I don`t know, but does the Sanyo chip allow you to select the region manually? If so, then you`ll have no problem with RCE discs.

the dvd selects region automatically,so does that mean that i cant play rce discs?

Ah! Then you may have a problem. Have you asked whoever chipped your player if the chip is RCE compatible or if there`s a workaround?

If you are having problems with R.C.E. discs the following Hack could help....
Insert Disc,
Press Menu immediately after loading while the player is searching for the start,
Continue pressing Menu until the film plays,
Press Menu again to get to the main menu,
Do "NOT" press Play or Enter at any time, just press Menu.
