Just bought one of these nifty machines from wollies for £129 after reading some of the forums I managed to get it set up and connected to TV/Video/Sky/second DVD player etc so thanks for all the great inpu, it really helped.
Now, does anyone have a multi-region hack for this recorder yet or is it to new yet?
Also does anyone know of a multi-region hack for the Acoustic Solution TS118A?

You have to download a firmware file for the DRW101, burn it to a data CD (ISO9660 Mode 1) and "play it" - see here.

I downloaded the upgrade from the Compack`s site and, after I had run it the version number had changed, but not to that indicated on site.
Also, before I applied the upgrade, I could `fine tune` the channels to put them in the correct order. Not possible after upgrade - as it was being fine tuned, it would display screens of magenta, green and general interference then shut itself down and reboot.
I took it back to Woolies and obtained a replacement - not going to apply the Bank30 upgrade to this one!
