In last months TotalDVD magazine they reviewed the MICO A980 and printed the region hack for it. I think they also printed how to remove Macrovision. Please coud someone post it here for me.

Here is the hack you require. Ensure no disc is loaded and the machine is switched on. Using the handset enter 7, 7 SELECT to reveal a secret menu. This allowsany region code to be entered or by setting region 13, the player bypasses most codes automatically. Go to the next page of the menu and you can disable macrovision, so you can copy pal discs to VHS, dont do it though as it breaches copyright laws. As if we would any way!!
can you let me now how you get on with the MICO as i am thinking of getting one

You can get the Mico at www.unbeatable.co.uk but be prepared to wait, I ordered one a month ago and am still waiting.
Is the Macrovision hack just an on/off setting? One guy on another forum seemed to think there was a 4 digit code.

I am just planning ahead at the moment. I ordered my MICO a week ago and was informed by unbeatable that it would be between 10-14 days before they received it and could begin processing my order. How long did they say you would have to wait before you received yours?

Ordered the Mico mid July. After two weeks I rang unbeatable and they said they were having trouble with their supplier and they would be another two weeks. Then I got an email to say they couldn`t keep up with demand and they wouldn`t get the machines in from Hong Kong until the week beginning the twenty first.

I hope it arrives around that date. I have all these wonderfully shiny discs that I can only see a reflection in at the moment.
By Unbeatable`s estimates to me they should receive them on or just after the 21st of August so I look forward to that date. But I wont count my chickens before they`ve hatched because I`ve had dealings of this nature with other internet firms, and the delivery gets further away by the day.
