hi, i have a ronin 215 dvd that is set to region 2. i have tried the following hacks :- 1) set up, 1 3 6 9 8 8 8 8 but nothing 2) as above , but with 8561 but nothing 3) as above , but with 1 3 7 9 8 8 8 8 . this gets me to the VERSION page but the "region code 2" is high lited in green & i am unable to do anything with changing it to zero any help would be most welcome many thanks darren

You need to download and install firmware on your player for the hack to work - see this site.

Sorry to say, RB, but that`ll be down to user error - did you switch the power off before the upgrade sequence completed ? Did you follow the instructions to the letter ?
Countless other folks have carried it out without any bother.

managed to download the firmware but the instructions are more elusive didnt want to goose the machine this early in its life - can anyone help the firmware was downloaded from the named site under the 215 model

Aren`t the full instructions available in a downloadable Word document at the same site ?

you`re right it is but for some reason it won`t download so if anyone has a copy i`d appreciate the details please i`ve got the firmware downloaded and standing by

i had same prob i downloaded firmwear back in November and when i tried to flash it to player it wouldn`t do a thing as a result nothing happened to the player so i am lucky. i have tried 3 times to upgrade firmwear now lol i can get the region code box up no probs. just can`t change it anyone else got any ideas?
