RE: new to multi-region need help plz!
RCE tends to mess up players that have been remote hacked, although it varies fromplayer to player.Generally chipped players are ok.
Although sites like PLAY list any Columbia release as being RCE,this is not the case. They usually stick to blockbusters only.Back catalogue movies are not affected.
Goodmans is just as likely to work as any other budget player.I would assume the older the player, the more likely it is to fail.Unless someone out there has one the same, you will have to chance it with a test buy-try Spiderman. The most recent one I know of is "Identity"
well i was going to tet buy anyway. it was going to be on Hollywood homicide or cahrlies angels full throttle. anyone know if they have this RCE thing?

At the risk of sounding unfriendly, have you tried finding out anything yourself ?
How about using the Glossary on this site to learn more about RCE ? Then if you use a Google search I think you`d find the following pages which list RCE titles and discuss players which do or don`t play RCE discs:

RE: new to multi-region need help plz!
RCE will not mess up your player. If you can set your player to R1 or if it selects it automatically then you can play RCE discs. If it can only be set to multi-region then do not buy RCE discs as you may be dissappointed. ;)
i can set mine to R1 or just leave it on multi-region, so if i leave it on R1 it would be fine? thanx 4 da help guyz!

RE: new to multi-region need help plz!
Charlie`s Angels: Full Throttle is definitely an RCE title, and all that will happen when you try to run it and it fails the RCE test will be you`ll get a pretty map of the world on your tv screen and a comment to the effect that the disc is the wrong region for your player. If you can set your Goodmans player to multiregion, do so. It will probably laugh at RCE, but if it doesn`t you could try setting it to R1. The only problem is having to reset the region. It is usually the more expensive name-brand players that have to be chipped that have problems with RCE, players like Alba (Goodmans by another name), or Pacific just ignore it. All you can do is try it out.

ok so basically try it, and if it works it works, if it dont it dont. my player can be set to R1,2,3,4,5,6 or multi-region. so i should try leaving it on multi-region, or i could put it on R1 and then it might work, lol so stupidly confusing! if i try it 1 way round and it doesnt work, will the player no then realise its the same player trying to work the disc in a different way?
