Hello I`m using a Philips 730 temporarily and changing the region to 1 and 2. In R1 I have to connect it to the 2nd SCART on my TV because the video signal switches to S-VHS. In R2 it returns to RGB on the SCART an I can connect it to the 1st SCART on my TV. Is this normal or is there an other remote code to have allways RGB ?
I think various combinations of codes tell the unit what it is capable of, but it actually sounds as if you are changing regions so often that you must be approaching the 25 change limit.
Chipping may be a good option for you at this stage, since it will leave you with a machine that was as you first bought it, but capable of playing any region without faffing around with codes or scarts.

Chipping is good :-)

Do not know of a code which will keep to rgb but the following code will allow you to output region 2 in svhs thus you could use your second scart socket all the time.

So when you change regions you just select the scart for svs
