Page 1 of Goodmans 124 DVD Does anyone know the region hack??????????

I have just bought a great DVD player i have tryed looking all over the internet for a regional hack but i can not find one , does anyone know of a working goodmans 124 hack!!!!!!!!

I need this also, c`mon some-one out there must be able to help?

I HAVE HEARD ON SITE`S THAT A GOODMANS DVD PLAYER IS THE SAME AS A MATSUI AND AN ORITRON.
I HAVE NO WAY OF SAYING!
But if the model u have is the same machine with a different badge these should work seeing as the matsui dvd110 is just an oritron dvd200 with a differnt badge.
TRY THE HACKS FOR THE ORITRON/MATSUI ANYWAY

REGION HACK!
1.turn on power with no disc in the machine
2.press the menu button on the remote
3.press the number 9 button on the remote
4.press the open/close button on the remote
5.press the number 5 button on the remote
6.then press the mute button to malke the player multiregion (alternativly press the keys 1-6 to select the region as 1=region 1 2=region 2)

VCD HACK!
1.turn the power on and insert an audio cd (music cd)
2.wait until the player registers the cd and the display reads 00.00 then press the stop button on the remote
3.press the menu button on the remote
4.press the number 9 button on the remote
5.press the 1/all button on the bottom of the remote
6.press the open/close button on the remote
7.then press number 1 on the remote to select the VCD enable on the menu.

TRY THESE OUT AND LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS THE SAME SYSTEM!
IF IT IS I WILL THEN PASS IT ON TO OTHER SITES AND PEOPLE!

Cheers for that, but no joy i`m afraid. The remote I have has not got a mute button on it.

TRY this should work.....


1/ switch player on and open tray.

2/Then enter 77 then press select and a hiden menu will appear.

3/Go down to "country code" and change it to13

4/Then if you want to get rid of the macrovision then you go down to the bottom and go on to the next page.

5/press select and Change the settings on the macrovision from 1 to 0 and that will disable it.

Press return to exit menu and put in region 1/2/ or what ever and you should be away.
The same hack is also used for Bush2002.

I`m thinking of buying a Goodmans 124 at the moment and want to make sure it can be hacked before I get it - could anyone let me know if this hack works.
