after getting a firmware upgrade from philips i was please to fine that my philips now plays MP3s...however this little box will still not play any region 1 discs ..all known region hacks WILL NOT work on this boxs. i have tried the 1111+0 ,the 159 hack ,the 0000+0 hack,i even have the 1 for all remote...ps my remote doesnt have a dvd option on it (one for all urc-2505) so my region 1 disc now sit in their boxes waiting for the next hack that may work on this player. my next option is to buy another player & use the the philip to play MP3s only ;)
