Getting alot or contrasting advice from retailers - some say it needs a Mod/Chip, others claim it needs a hack (but dont have it yet!) to make it Multi Region. Does anybody know for sure??????

Hi not sure if you have a DR-M1 but I was trying to find out what people think of them as it looks about the type of recorder that would be suitable witout breaking the bank.
The seem`s to be very few reviews about compaired with reports on the cheap Mico unit on this forum.
