Not again.....

OK, heres the step by step version.

Power up with no disc in tray.
Wait for "No Disc" message on screen.
Now (using the remote, and quickly)
Press PAUSE
Press 314159
(at this point, the player display will read "COdE - -")
Press region no (easier to just use ZERO)
Press PAUSE
Power off player, wait a few seconds, power on player.
Insert other region disc and laugh away as it defeats all anti-hacking protection (like RCE)

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!!

I`m having the same problem, and neither the above instructions nor those in the hack section of the site seem to get any response from the machine.

the hack on this site is incorrect, it states press "enter" when you shouldn`t.

Try it again with the above instructions, but follow them EXACTLY!!

Or visit my site: http://aiwaownersnetwork.tripod.com
(soon to have a nice new shorter URL)

Hello Ray, I had the same problem, you do have to follow the instructions exactly, in my case I must have tried the hack 12 times or more but with no luck, I think it was Jimbo who told me to power off the player completly and try first thing in the morning, I tried this and it worked first time.

Got my new Aiwa XR-DV370 delivered from Comet today so no need to send my Sony DAV-S300 away to be modified.
Input the hack and it worked great.

I wish my Sony could be hacked as easy as this.(I wish it could just be hacked) without a chip mod.
The Aiwa XR-DV370 does rock.......................

Teece, a question.
I don`t suppose there is a way to connect your Aiwa with the Sony, so u can enjoy the Dolby Digital / DTS capabilities of this player with Region 1 discs?

Whilst we are on the subject of the XD-370. When I purchased mine, I was told that it would play enhanced CD`s, you know - the audio CD`s that have video`s stuck on the end as a bonus.

I think I was told porky`s as it only recognises these discs as audio cd`s and won`t play the video extra`s.

Should it play cd videos or am I going mad. Any one know... ???
