I have found a hack on the net for the LG DVD-5083 to enable SVCD playback but I`m slightly worried about trying it. I have done the VCD hack successfully but now want SVCD. The hack seems to be for non PAL players, as mine is a UK player it is PAL. Has anyone successfully hacked a UK player to SVCD and if so what is it? If I do try the hack I have found what do I do if something goes wrong? Is there a way to restore factory settings? Cheers guys

hi simple steve i have a lg 5083 and im wanting to make it multi regional.i new to all of this and have no idea what a svcd is as you were asking but was hoping that you may be able to give me the code to make mine multi regional? thanx
