I have just aquired a Bush DVD2009, tried the bush code which brought no menu`s up. But then I tried it with 2 Region 1 discs End of Days and LA Confidential and both played fine. Dont know why but who am I to argue. Only problem so far is not playing copies of VCD`s.

I wonder if its multi region straight out of the box? Did you try it with any titles before you played with hacking it?

BUSH DVD 2009 is Region Code Free from the box.
This machine will not play Blue/Green VCD`s, only the original Silver ones.

Thanks for the help, much appreciated couldn`t get anything concrete out of the company. Do you know if it is Muti Region Permanently or a limited number of times like the Phillips?

Region free is permanent, Region changeable sometimes has limits, the Bush 2009 appears to be the former.

I`d agree with that.
My player has been playing R1`s and R2`s for weeks now, not a problem.
