I recently applied the Region free code to my Wharfedale 750s and everything was fine, but when i applied the code to reset the factory settings the picture went black and white. I have tried to re-apply the initial code but nothing happens. Has anyone seen this before, and can anyone fix it?

I have only seen this happen when someone changes there system from PAL to NTSC in the settings menu. This can then be fixed by changing the TV SYS setting back to PAL. The codes to reset back to Default are Open/close,Slow, Prev, Next. Hope this helps

It could be the way you have your tv connected to your dvd. Try going into the setup menu once you have returned the machine back to its factory settings (i.e. when your picture is in black and white) and changing the scart out option from OFF to RGB and vice versa to see if this makes a difference. If you have your dvd connected to your tv via a scart pin soccet it should (i believe) be set to rgb) If you just have it connected with the other lead option it should be set to off.

I applied the hack for the latest model yesterday. DVD is connected to the TV via Scart. Got the "Region Free" message on the screen, but playback was in black and white! Changing Scart out option to "off" resolved the problem.
