Page 1 of JMB 3000 - Hack doesn`t seem to Work - Any Tips?

I followed the Instructions from this site and it doesn`t seem to be working for me.

Has anyone got the same Model as me and have u got the Hack to work?? If yes could u please Post here the Procedures u did.

Also any tips would be appreciated or alternative ways.

Hi,

I also got a JMB DVD 3000 (Xmas present), and also has problems making the unit region free. However, the hack DOES work!

As suggested, you hold down the Stop, Open/Close, Skip Forward and Skip Backward, but you need to hold them down for 6 or 7 seconds, then a menu should appear with four options (i think); the first one should be "Region Selection".

I tried to do this about 10 times from the handset, but it wouldn`t work. Eventually, I used the buttons on the unit itself and hey presto!

I finally got it to work. Ok heres what I did.

I ignored the Handset and used the Controls on the DVD player itself like Wedge G said.

1)Make Sure No DVD is in the Drive
2)Power Off
3)Power On
4)Simultaneously hold down STOP, OPEN/CLOSE and Forward Skip.(In previous versions it says hold down Back and Forward Skip which is incorrect)
5)Revert to your Handset and goto the Top option which asks Region Code, select it.
6)In the Next Screen it asks for what region u would like, scroll down to FREE and press SELECT.
7)It will then take you to the First Screen you were introduced to, simply go down to EXIT and the DVD will Power itself off.

And thats it....I hope.
