I have just bought the Pioneer DVD Player and it is stuck in Region 2 mode. Is there a way of getting this model hacked to multi-region by myself or do I have to splash out for the player to be chipped? Any advice/help is greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great New Year!

Just purchased one too and at the moment, it looks as if it has to be chipped.
An earlier posting suggested a software hack was possible, but didn`t explain how it could be done.
Waiting for further news on this one.
A pity as I have borrowed a friends region 1 X Men which isnt out in region 2 format until march.

TRY THE 626 HACK something like setup press initial ,condition memory ,enter region ???

THERE IS NO REMOTE HACK!!!!
The software download is something that has to be done by guys like Michael from www.switch-it-on.co.uk. U can`t do it on your own.
U have to let it be modified by some experienced people or u can chip it yourself if u think you`re a bit of a handyman....

I Wonder if anyone can help. I have a Pioneer DV414 and I can only play Region 1 discs. Can anyone help me hack it so that I can play Region 2 discs
