HAS ANYONE FOUND THE HACK FOR THIS DVD PLAYER YET?? I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THIS HACKED FOR 6 MONTHS NOW....AAAARRRHHHH

Hi, Are you sure it is just the DV 480 ? There is a hack for the Aiwa XD DV 480:
Aiwa XD-DV480 1. Connect the DVD player 2. Use the remote control to turn power on 3. Wait until "No Disc" appears 4. Press "Pause" and type the following code - 8, 9, 2, 6 - the display will show "CODE__" 5. Within 5 seconds press 00 for all regions 6. Press "Pause" and "Power"
To view the firmware version of this player: 1. Press the Setup button on the remote control 2. Select TV Aspect and place the cursor on the 16:9 Wide option 3. Using the remote control enter the code 1, 3, 9, 7, 1, 3 and 9 4. Press the Enter button 5. You should now see the version information screen 6. Pressing Setup button on the remote control to exit this info.

Yes but the above hack doesn`t work with all models of 480. I`ve tried as well!! Someone said something about burning firmware. What is the process for this?

i` ve got 480 & this code does`nt work for me either hope to find something soon!!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrgghh!!!!!!!!!
