SONY DVD/VCR combination SLVD900 Help !!!

Hi,
I found a hack for this model, but it seems kinda vague.
Anyone know if it works and what exactly you have to do to change the regions.

Sony SLV-D900
Turn on the power with no disc inserted and tray closed.
Push on remote: subtitle - 3 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 7
A message will appear on the display.
Push on remote: 9
Done.
P.S If you turned off power (not standby), you need to insert the code again.
This hack is only for the SLV-D900, NOT the SLV-D100.

Anyone know a hack for Bush 5020 ?

My friend has a Bush 5020, and asked me if i could find out if it can be made multi regional.
Does anyone know a hack/code for this machine ?

There are quite a few DVD players under £100 that come Multi Regional as new out of the box.
Cyberhome DVD 402 £80, Cyberhome DVD 405 £80 . (both these have codes to make multi regional).
Yamada DVD 2100 £85, Arianet 2233 £90, Arianet 2255 £100
Kiiro X5 Multi Region £95. Alba 114 £70

Before you rush out to get a new DVD...what is the model you already have ?

I know the Alba 114 is Multi Regional out of the box.
I can play R1 DVD`s
I`m not sure about RCE DVD`s haven`t tried yet.
But can anyone help with a code for playing VCD`s

My brother has one of these, and it was multi regional right out of the box.
The instruction manual will say it is region 2 only. It was printed for the UK market.
I suggest trying a region 1 DVD before messing around with the player.
My brother also found it will play photo CD`s too.

1. Open draw.
2. Press stop on your remote control.
3. Press the number 1,9,9,9 on your remote (one after the other). A setup menu will appear on your screen.
4. Where it says regional code, change to all.
5. Close the draw. Now the player is multi regional

Sony DVPNS305 ... does anyone know a code/hack

Hi, does anyone know a code/hack for the Sony DVPNS305 please.
I have read that you need a programable remote like the Phillips Pronto or similar. Something to do with putting in hex codes.
Can anyone explain this.

You need one of those OneForAll6 remotes.

Philips DVD-612
Send the infra-red code RC6 (aka Codeset 4, Key 235) to your player. You can do this with a OneForAll remote such as the OneForAll 6 (or URC7560) or OneForAll 4 Digital with the following instructions: Configure the Remote using the setup code 0539 Press the Magic button, Enter the code 085, Press the OmniRemote key marked as 955 Multizone, The onscreen display should show 11 spaces like this: `-----------` Using the number keys on your DVD player`s Remote Control, enter the code 222 222 005 255. Note that this is 12 digits and the last digit will not show on the on-screen display Press the Play button on the DVD player`s Remote, The onscreen display should now show the words No Disc, Power off your DVD player, wait 10 seconds and then power back on

There is a hack for the Aiwa XD DV 480:

Aiwa XD-DV480
1. Connect the DVD player
2. Use the remote control to turn power on
3. Wait until "No Disc" appears
4. Press "Pause" and type the following code - 8, 9, 2, 6 - the display will show "CODE__"
5. Within 5 seconds press 00 for all regions
6. Press "Pause" and "Power"

To view the firmware version of this player:
1. Press the Setup button on the remote control
2. Select TV Aspect and place the cursor on the 16:9 Wide option
3. Using the remote control enter the code 1, 3, 9, 7, 1, 3 and 9
4. Press the Enter button
5. You should now see the version information screen
6. Pressing Setup button on the remote control to exit this info.

I would try a Region 1 DVD before messing with the player if I was you.Both me and my brother have tried to get a Bush DVD 2023, but it seems they are out of stock everywhere. I was sent an Alba 114 as a replacement. That was multi regional out of the box, so I was happy with that.
This week my brother was sent a Bush DVD 2025, and that too was multi regional; right out of the box. I had bought 2 R1 DVD`s cheap off ebay to check the machines. They played without any problems.

Don`t know if it is of any use to you.

To convert your Hitachi DV-P505 player into a multiregion player simply follow these instructions:

1. Download and upgrade your unit using the 0123 firmware and instructions from Ironduke`s website.(www.theironduke.plus.com) This will make your player multi-region, however you can also set it to a specific region by carrying on with the remaining steps

2. Press the Setup button on the Remote

3. Press the Last button

4. Press the Skip Previous button

5. Press the Skip Next button

6. You will now enter the `Loop Holes` menu where you can alter the player region

I don`t know if this is the code you used. But it requires a seperate remote control. One of those all in one type.
