I have just purchased a Pacific 1002 DVD Player from Doncaster ASDA (18/09/02) and cannot hack it to play multi-region. The hack stated on many sites (both versions) just does not have any effect. Has there been a update to the machine which requires a new hack. Please can anyone help. I purchased this player because it plays all types and I thought I could hack it for region 1, giving me everything I require Bazneal

Thanks for your reply Yes I have tried that hack many times, both with a region 2 dvd and with draw open. Just no joy Bazneal

The Hack works perfect!!! I tried it with draw closed & NO disk in drive.

Tried it with draw closed and no disk. Still get "wrong region" with a Region 1 disk.

Sorry to hear mate I`ve done it om 3 machines now and all working fine with R1 & fromnt buttons. Take it back and change it :-) I`m choosing 7 for all region try that

just tried hack and it works perfect no problems with buttons on machine now got 2 DVD`s multi regioned (PROLINE 1000) without paying extortionate cost cheers ALL

I have tried that hack above many times also and can`t get R1 to work, I just got my DVD player Sunday and I have no problems playing anything else. So could there have been an update to this DVD recently?
