I remember an old thread saying some versions of the 444 might be hackable. I have a few questions... 1/ Can anyone remind me of the possible hack ? 2/ Is there a certain serial number or something that I should look for to determine if my machine is a hackable version ? 3/ Does the hack have to be changed from region to region every time you play a disc or will it be automatic ? I know d******* can `fix` it, but if I had £50 I wouldn`t be asking any of the above... Cheers

if you dont have £50 then you wont be watching other regions unless you find a local outlet to do it for £25-£30

I also have the DV 444, it seems almost impossible to hack! (unless u want to pay £50!)
The possible hack is, as follows:
1 Turn on your dvd player without a disk 2 Press `setup` 3 Press `right arrow` until `general` is selected 4 Press `down arrow` once 5 Press `display` 6 Press `condition memory` 7 Press `1`, `2`, `3`, `4`, `5` or `6`, for the region 8 Press `setup`
This dosent work on my machine, let me know if you find anything else!
