Page 1 of Problems with Lecson DVD-900 Remote Hack - Please Help!

I bought a Lecson DVD-900 a few months ago and have tried ALL the remote hacks described in the Region Hack pages (Wharfedale DVD-750s hack) without success. I know it`s probably just me but what am I doing wrong?

(I have a mate flying in from the US over Xmas so you can see why I would like to be able to do this ASAP!)

Good to see you have bought yourself a pretty decent machine. The hack to make it region 1 only is 11111, for region 2 only 1111(make sure the drawer is open when typing these in). To make it a multiregion player, again open the drawer and press A-B, Zoom and then with the cursor keys, Top, Left, Bottom, Right. Bingo, your mate can bring you back DVDs from anywhere in the world.

Unfortunately I still seem unable to make this work - all the hacks I have read say that you should see a brief message in the LCD indicating that the region has changed - I don`t get this. Should I be seeing something in the LCD? or is this a "silent" hack?

I`m getting my mate to bring over one of his region 1 DVD`s so that I can at least test things properly before committing any cash!

If you put your TV on while you perform the hack its easier to see if its worked. As you type the numbers in an asterisk appears top left. Once you`ve typed the number in for the region, it should briefly say Region1 in the same place.

You have made sure you`ve got the drawer open when you`re doing this, I assume?
