Page 1 of Philips DFR 1600 problem.

Has anyone had a problem with VCD`s the code works fine but on some VCD`s i get the message "VCD 1.0" and it won`t play. Is there a way to get round this?

I have tried to play 2-3 VCD and they won`t play. I got message "No valid disc". I would like to know can you play any VCD or not. Do I need to do something to make DVD play VCD`s. Yom are mentioned codes, what you mean by that. My model is mx-1060d.

The mx-1060d and dfr 1600 are the same player. To play Vcds-

1.Insert a music cd

2.Press stop once it says total x. x=tracks

3.Press system

4.Press 1

5.Press RDS search

6.Press open/close

(all of the above must be pressed on the remote)
