Ive just bought one of these from work (asda) at least the vcd function is not turned off like some of the dvd-750 have been. i asked the guy on home an lesiure if theres a hack yet but hes doent know until he askes the rep ive tried all the other codes that work for the 750 and 1000 but no joy hope someone finds one soon

If you put pacific in the search box you`ll find the old faithful for the pacifics and schneider 856 but dalerobo reports no joy! Good luck Its just a matter of time Biteman!

Any progress with this one ? Would be a shame if cannot be made regionfree since otherwise it performs well.

i think the asda ones are the 1meg version, which means their firmware can be flashed.

I seam to remember reading about these a few months ago as they are all the rage in America but I think it`s the 1500 that they are after. I think there is a handset hack for the earlier 1 meg versions and the later 512k has a cd flash upgrade but then again I could be confusing the two as it was a while since I saw the info. There is a little aprehension with the 1100 as it has a reputation as a fire hazard? They are apparently made in China and play VCD`s etc very well but DVD playback is poor. Retail in Wal Mart is $69.
