The JMB is the cheapest remote hackable dvd player I know of. It`s £140 from index . But I would recomend the scan SC-2000 the old batch had problems but the ones they have out now are great. It`s a little more expensive at £175 but its well worth it they also have mp3 playback and output at pal 50 there should also be a firmware update going out soon to disable macrovision

Just bought a Cyber Home dvd for a friend via the Richer Sounds web site for under £130 delivered. Not only can it be made region free via hack provided but can also be set to a specific region which should mean it will play R1 titles such as A Perfect Storm. I haven`t had time to test this yet but it does play ordinary R1 & R2 discs.
