I think this years World Cup in Japan will be a poor one.

Not just because my beloved England won`t get close to winning it, but the fact that it`s being held in Japan/Korea. Not either, because both countries probably would have not qualified if held in another place. (And l don`t think countries should co-host because thats one place less for another counrty)

lts the time difference which sucks. During the last few World Cups and Euro champs, it was great. You go to work, look forward to the match on tonight, then either go home, or out to watch it. Great stuff!

But who can get excited about getting up at 6.30 to watch a football match while munching your corn flakes, and trying to make a decent cup of coffee?

Yes, its fair that countries outside Europe should hold the event. Blah, blah, but l am speaking from my point of view here in the UK!

Early kick offs, the atmosphere just won`t be the same!

i`m gonna lie in bed and watch all the games.. untill lunch time..when i shall have my lunch and watch the games...

then i`ll go to work and tell day shift how good the games were that they missed....

Why don`t you do what I`m gonna do and revert to the Korean/Japan timezone for a few weeks : my leave is booked, my TV zapper is primed, and my beer is already chilling nicely : mmmm, beer at 7.30 am....lovely

Feel sorry for me! I was looking forward to this world cup for ages, really thought england would do the business, and is all come crashing down!!

Add to that the fact that i have major exams at the moment, (which finish half way through) then have to go into hosp. for the final 2 weeks!!

Oh well... at least we did the double....

Only my subjective opinion and all, but I think you`ll find both Japan and Korea are both fairly decent sides. Both play attacking football, but are defensively dodgy.

You might be pleasantly surprised.
