Just found a web site which has films such as AOTC and Spiderman available on DVD for £10 from [URL REMOVED]. Sounds well dodgy?

well the word silvers says it all they are more than likely copies of a camcorder shot from within the cinema`s, i wouldnt buy them them at all, and would wait for the dvd`s proper release which will be superior sound and visual quality. They could also be cheap vcd`s id be careful with them..

I`d agree. I watched episode 1 from a dodgy camcorder VCDand it ruined the experience. Much better to see it in the cinema.

I also know a few friends who`ve been ripped off with VCDs when they thought they were getting cheap DVDs. More fool them I suppose.

I hate to say this but a friend bought a copy of Spiderman on svcd and I was really impressed with it.The film itself I thought was excellent, but thats only my opinion, and I will definately go and watch it again on the big screen.

Buying VCD`s of blockbuster movies. Is in not just a case of `My Dad`s bigger than your Dad` with people just wanting to see the big titles before anyone else? I`ve seen Planet of the Apes, Resident Evil and Blade 2 recently on VCD and the quality was kakababa. POTA was a double whammy whereby the film was s*** too!

A m8 at work was offered a copy of LOTR all looked legit with bound dvd cover and label on the cd, when he watched it it was a camcorder version. I have to say that i saw Lotr on svcd and that was real good quality a sort of Pre DVD release preview edition with dolby pro logic for sound thats the best ive seen. I have also heard that Lucas plans a dvd release of Attack by this Xmas, as he started work on the dvd release b4 the movie went out. You probbaly can get good quality Svcd and vcd`s nearer the time of DVD release, but one this soon has to be cam corder jobby. I tend to download on Kazza and watch tyhe movies i really dont want to see in cinema, on my computer, ive seen res evil have showtime yet to watch

Ever heard the phrase "you get what you pay for" - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

l wish l had seen Episode 1 on a poor hand held copy, with a fat bloke in fron of the screen, people going to and from the toilet, with others eating and talking...

I might have thought it was better!

I have a vcd copy of Episode 2 and although the picture quality isnt brilliantly clear and it is recorded in a cinema, there is no disruption from anybody in the cinema...if there is anyone in there. and the sound quality is ok too, it reminds me of one of those old things I used to watch...umm what was it....oh yes, VHS

The only reason I got a copy of it is that I am not a great Star Wars fan so wouldnt go to the cinema and at £3 its worth it to see what the fuss is about, I enjoyed it and if someone asks me to go see it I might go with her ;)
