Anyone had problems getting a refund..

For me it's like pulling teeth with them!  

Bought a mobile phone from them online, 4 months into the purchase the phone starts crashing and playing up. Made a complaint and was asked to send it back for a refund. Now I'm being told that I'm only entitled to a voucher refund not a debit card refund because the fault didn't occur within 28 days of purchase? Eh, really.. wtf? 

Are they taking the p*** because it certainly seems they are.  

Any thought on a way forward for this?

They're not obliged to give you a refund - they can have it repaired - even just 4 months old.  Equally though, I don't think that if they agree to a refund that they can insist that it's in the form of vouchers.  28 days is generally around the limit whereby you can expect a refund/replacement and not a repair.
