I`ve been toying with the idea of getting rid of all my cds (over 200 of them) and hifi and just having them on a usb hard drive as I`ve got at present and playing them through there, either wirelessly through the computer (though I don`t want to have the computer turned on so don`t know if this is possible) or through another usb hard drive which I can purchase.
Need to be able to easily go through folders etc on the unit like you could on the PC (due to the number of files and folders I don`t want to fanny about too much)
I`ve got an amp to connect it up to via hdmi or phono leads.
Does all of this sound possible? Can anyone recommend any units? Got a budget of £300-£400, looking to get something decent but it`s coming through a sony 5.1 system so nothing like a Denon etc that may be wasted on the speakers.

I bought some Sonos kit a couple of months back. Best thing I ever bought. Well, ish. :)
Full control, artwork, playlist, queue edit etc. from my iTouch too. :)
Sounds superb - I prefer it to the Zeppelin mini and normal.
