Music 4 free?

General Thade (Competent) posted this on Saturday, 2nd February 2002, 18:04

Can anybody give me a website that still lets you download music?

Theres a few songs I wouldn`t mind having but wouldn`t like to pay out cash for and because of the shame buying something like sclub7

Any good sites??

Thanks

If you just want to download from a website, then try http://www.emp3finder.com

If you want to get a Napster-like program, then go to cnet.com and search for Morpheus. Its a great program which also allows you to download video clips, pics, and docs.

Morpheus is a great program, But make sure you have good Anti-Virus protection!!!! There`s some really shady stuff out there.

I don`t mind you talking about Peer 2 Peer software, and indeed I run AudioGalaxy, Morpheus and Limewire myself.

I`ve heard the latest Kazaa is supposed to be much-improved, and has also removed spyware too, which is a good thing.

What we can`t have is detailed instructions on how to download full films, and how to burn them onto CD-R, Wasp ;-)

But as Peer 2 Peer is file-sharing of music we all own, well that`s borderline, but it`s still legal (well, it was the last time I looked anyway...)

Apparently the current version of Morpheus has a massive security flaw!

However, there is a Morpheus 2.0 to be launched in the near future, hopefully with improved security.
