Customs... what`s the current limits?

Can anyone tell me the current limits before VAT and Duty kick in?
Looking at ordering some converters from DE to play with this iPod hard drive and experiment with CF hard drives (been thinking for a while...) but there`s a few could fit the bill.
As DE are cheap enough anyway I don`t mind ordering a couple of different ones to find the better one for my use, but I`m not sure what the current limit is for impoting.

I know DE do free delivery so I could do seperate orders over a few days but I`d rather just get one delivery if possible.

Still only £18 value of goods before VAT is charged on postal/courier imports from outside the EC.

Customs duty isn`t charged on goods with a value of less than £120.

Plus the RM/Parcelforce (or other courier) handling fee of course if the package is charged.

Having said that, I recently had a couple of packages from Switzerland above the VAT threshold which weren`t picked for charges so maybe lower value items aren`t being stopped so much at the moment.

Damn, was under the impression the £18 limit had been raised but must have been the Duty limit.

Oh well, I guess I`ll split it to 2 or 3 orders then :/
