on TV yesterday I saw that some shops were opening at 7:00 this morning, most at 9:00 for the sales, but I didn`t see anything I was that fussed about. I thought about heading into town, my dad said that in the few days before Christmas HMV and Zavvi had some good bargains, but I know I`ll just end up buying DVDs `cos they`re cheap so they`ll just increase the every increasing pending pile!
Looking at websites for HMV etc the sale offers seem no better than at any other time of year, so I was wondering maybe you have to visit real world physical shops to get the bargains?
please report back bargain hunters, so I know whether it`s worth heading into town at 9:00 am tomorrow morning or not, i can`t be arsed if there`s no real bargains :)
RE: Any good bargains in the sales?
Cant see any real bargains from the online sales - the worst sale I have seen so far would be Argos - many offers at "over £1 off" and in most case they mean one pound and a few pennies off - how they dignify those sort of reductions with a sale banner is beyond me. The rest of the sale offers from Argos are terrible.

Well that was a complete waste of time! Just got back from town, didn`t get anything in the sales, didn`t really see anything worth mentioning! I didn`t go in Next, but Next seems to be the only shop people were buying in, as could see loads of people carrying big Next carriers with stuff, but nothing else!
HMV seemed to have put most of chart DVDs up to RRP, and those in the sale were no better than the 6 month after release price from play.com, and were a few quid more than their online prices.
Zavvi also seemed to have new stuff at RRP, and the cheap stuff was the same stuff that`s cheap everywhere
