You have my sympathy. I`ve been there before.

Whilst I can`t be of any help with a dentist in your area, I can offer some painkiller advice.
When I had nasty toothache my doctor advised me that I could take paracetemol every 4 hours as well as ibuprofen every 4 hours.
They said that If you time it so that you take the ibuprofen 2 hours after you took the paracetemol, its fairly good at painkilling.

Obviously I`m assuming you`re not allergic to either of these two medicines!!

Best of luck.

Ring NHSD helpline, ask them to advise on a nearby OOH Dental practice. Tell them how much pain you are in.

Is that the time? Damn you Xbox 360!!!!

Had the same a few years back, had to wait for 3.5 hours at a drop in centre staffed by `up and coming` dentists. The guy I had wanted to pull the tooth (which I wasn`t keen at all with) and luckily he thought otherwise once he`d drilled away the mess. Cost me £10 and it was only enough to tied me over until I could go to my regular dentist (who then charged a stack more to drill out the temp stuff and do it properly).

Certainly wouldn`t `recommend` it per se - as I wasn`t expecting a temporary solution - but I felt so much better afterwards!

Dunno the details, but try gargling with salt water. I did this whenever my wisdom teeth got infected (regularly) and it helped in the short term. Had them pulled out a couple of years ago and now I have no feeling in the right side of my tongue!

The dentist should be able to do a proper job. In the meantime oil of cloves is the stuff of miracles.... :-)

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

There`s one in Nuneaton, a bit far away from you but not too far - Camphill Dentist. They take on NHS patients and they do emergencies too. 024 76394571

If you can, ask for Ravi to see you. Top Guy!
