I AM TRAVELING TO LONDON ARRIVING FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND LEAVING ON A MONDAY AFTERNOON BEEN TOLD TO GET ONE THESE BUT HOW MUCH TO I TOP UP OR IS CAPPED ONCE HIT A CERTAIN AMOUNT FOR EACH DAY OR SOME1 EXPLAIN IT WANT TRAVEL ALL OVER ALL WEEKEND

You have to pay £3 for an Oyster Card, if you just need a weekends travel you can buy a weekend travelcard.
If you really want one when you get to London go to any tube station and you can get it from the Window. Put as much Pay As Go credit on it as you want I suggest about £20 which should be more than enough.

Smellyfeet - have you tried the Windows Magnifier? (Assuming you are using Microsoft Windows of course). Might make things a bit easier to read/write on the computer.
