Page 1 of any watch BBC`s Rogue traders?
General Forum
I ask because I have become obsessed with the question, "why is that dan bloke on the show?"
well now I know, and I can`t quite believe the answer.. "Penteado was approached when it became clear host Matt Allwright did not have a license to drive a motorcycle."
I`m writing those c***s at the beeb a letter, that is a f***ing p*** take of license payer money

Never understood why they need the bike really.
I could understand if it was for hot pursuit of suspects through traffic.
But there`s invariably a vanfull of camera crap with them, so no gain there.
Jobs for the boys.
Hell, I`d do it too.
Come on, we all would.... ;)
it`s a joke.. he takes part in the crap comedy asides, ferries that matt c*** around, and generally makes himself look like a twunt...he`s a big f***er too, they should have him confronting the people, not that girly man Albright..
I`ll post my letter, and then any replies that I might get.

RE: any watch BBC`s Rogue traders?
Talking of wastes of the tax payer`s money, I happened across an older episode of Top Gear on on of the UK channels last night, in which the presenters were given £10k each to go out an buy a shagged `super car`. The result, 30 grand`s worth of barely running s*** that Clarkson and his mates had a good laugh about. WTF??? Tossers.
RE: any watch BBC`s Rogue traders?
The thing about that is, though, its part of the shows features budget which in the way of TV, is actually very cheap.
They get all their supercars for free and they film most of that stuff at their test track so the remaining budget goes on the features.
They probably spent £30k on hiring the helicopter to do the overhead shots of the `Europes greatest driving road` thing.
What im listening to (if youre interested)
Newly MySpaced fwiw *Updated..badly*
none of that happened on rogue traders..
you are way off mark. er. Nick.

1st off they didnt end up with 30k;s of barely running supercar as the engine in the Murac Clarkson bought just exploded totally - there was no "running" left in the car
2nd - and more importantly and with less tongue in cheek, i think you are well off the mark with them "wasting tax payers money". As far as I am aware the BBC pay Clarkson;s production company for the show. The production company then pay to put the shows together.
That been the case it would mean that by spending that 30k the show has actually just reduced the amount of money either retained by the production company or paid into the pockets of Clarkson et al
Therefore, they havent wasted the tax payers money at all merely squandered some of the fee they;ve received from the BBC to make the show for the BBC to air.

As an extra to my last post - take last weeks episode for instance. Spent something like £4500 on three cars in Africa (im guessing not a bad result for the African economy) and then absolutely wrecked all three cars
But the programme (and the achievement of driving the cars they did where they did) was absolutely fantastic. Infinitely better than most of the crap that BBC churn out and on that basis whether the production company paid the money or whether the BBC did it most certainly isnt a waste of the licence fee
Now £15million (or whatever it was) for the services of Graham Norton is a watse of licence fee money!! (especially when they didnt wheel him out on a show for god knows how long - although by doing so we probably got better value for money)

I`d rather watch Top Gear destroy £30k worth of cars than ANY period s***, where they get the costumes correct, down to re-opening the foundry that produced Mr.Darcy`s original Prince Albert chain...
If they`re that bothered aboput accuracy, I want to see the actresses` blurts.
They`d have been like Jill Dando`s garden in them days.
