I saw this a long long time ago so I may be mixing in elements that don`t actually exist...
foreign language (french?)... starts with a kid playing marbles, picked on by other kids so he tells them a story...and the film is mostly of the story he tells.. which is something along the lines of a bank robbery that might have involved the use of the ladder extended from a fire engine to enable them to cross over to one building from another.. robbery goes wrong / police close in on them somehow... ..eventually cut back to kid who was telling story to other kids, marbles run everywhere..film ends..
any ideas?!

....it might be La Haine (Hate), an excellent frog flick starring Vincente Cassel... although I may be way off on this one but I seem to remember the lads used a ladder to escape from the cops.

dunno what the film is but i can tell you that it is definitely NOT La haine...that ends up in a very `city on fire` (or stolen by tarantino) everyone holding a gun to someone elses head.
