Radio f***ing Four

Listening to R4 today at around 11:30 (Laurie Taylor`s prog) they played a couple of clips from Glengarry Glenross. The clips contained the words "f*cking" twice and "f*ck" once. I don`t think it was an error. Have they got very liberal guidelines on what they can broadcast? I`m not shocked, disgusted and angry, just amused.

I look forward in anticipation to "Gardeners Mother-f*cking Question Time" and "A C*nt At Bedtime".

I'm not sure what Ofcom's guidelines state in relation to strong language broadcast via radio. I could be wrong but I think as long as any strong language is used within context and is 'justified' it's OK.

I regularly listen to James Whale and Ian Collins on talkSPORT radio and both programmes contain what some people would define as 'strong language'.

I agree with Adam, as far as I know they`re allowed to use bad language as long as its justifable. Don`t mind f**k, but I must admit I would`ve been very offended had it been c***, as I never use that word and think its bad...had to tell my blokes mum off for using it earlier...scary scary!

I know they have a liberal sprinkling of swearage on R4 but this was during the day. I know they don`t expect kids to be listening to R4. I`m not shocked nor nuffink, just intrigued.

The only problem I have nowadays is that the top end swear words have lost their sting. Ah well, I`m off to tell the vicar he`s a cock sucking twat.
