I`m with Virgin Media at the moment, but i`m moving house in a month`s time so could easily switch to Sky.
Does anybody have any advice? Are there any good deals at the moment with Sky (that don`t end before the start of August)? Is this sale of Virgin Media likely to be bad or good news from a consumer point of view?
I`ve only ever been with NTL/Virgin, but i do miss the Simpons and Sky+ sounds pretty sweet.

Wish full thinking like but lets hope they get rid of the Indian Call centres
I think this is the same group, that`s bidding for Virginmedia.
It looks like they`re in to everything such as, Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Consumer & Retail, Energy & Power, Healthcare, Real Estate, Technology & Business Services, Telecommunications & Media, and Transportation.

The Saudi Arabian relatives of Osama bin Laden were also investors in Carlyle until October 2001 when the family sold its $2.02 million investment back to the firm in light of the public controversy surrounding bin Laden's family after the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.

Yeah I remembered them from Fahrenheit 9/11.

When it was Telewest (and sometimes still) the call centre staff were from Sheffield - I even got through to people I used to know!
*Understanding* the Indian tech support is not a problem very often, but the lines are often very very quiet, they don`t have experience of the cable service themselves unlike the UK techs, they stick too rigidly to their scripts, and they don`t understand *my* accent all the time (Yorkshire but not particularly broad).
