Well Westy I think you have a bit of a CHEEK telling me to be careful:-This link is taken from this site R1 news therefore you should moderate your own site first! I mean anyone can read the region1 news.(As I do every day :)
It was posted on Tuesday, 9th October 2001(If you wanna go and delete it feel free! and delete this thread as well!)
If you have such links,which you feel are inappropriate on your site,then I see nothing wrong with cutting and pasting! In the end you are telling people what to do but doing them yourself(Which I cant STAND!)
Although you probably didnt write the news :)

Hi all, this is the shop steward of all Moderators here...
(1) Westy, Dan and I give up what little spare time we all have to ensure that you lot behave on here - most of the time you`re a well-mannered lot, but occasionally, we have to slap a few wristies.
(2) Westy, Dan and I can`t possibly know every single thing that is written on the site - we`re Moderators, not Webmasters : don`t confuse the two : we`re just here to uphold the Forum Rules, not to write the content on the site (Westy and I write our own stuff ta very muchly)
(3) Westy, Dan and I all got Sheriff badges in our Christmas crackers last year, so if we can`t mosey around these forums, and shoot from the hip every so often, it`d be very dull
(4) Westy, Dan and I don`t particularly enjoy "warning" people, but you have to remember that new people join all the time, and we have to ensure that the fine tradition of flame-free (well mostly), advertiser-free and illegal/improper referrals is upheld.
(5) Westy was only pointing out the site was for the more mature visitors here, not chastising you - anyone would think you`ve got something to hide !
(6) Er, that`s it for the minute.

I`m sure the point of the warning here is it doesn`t state what sort of content the url contains, whereas when linked off the R1 news page it does. :p

Haaah......<sigh>
First of all i`m glad Clayts got in there first,(like many other people, i do have a full time job and life to live), and second the power of the written word can be VERY harmful, especially when someone has had a bad day! After losing one of my colleagues last week(RIP :-( ), Frogmanirs little outburst didn`t go down too well. Thanks for those who enforced my post, i WASN`T aiming to delete the thread, merely doing my dutiful moderator bit and warning people of the content. Please think first before you write that sort of petty response again-although this is a free forum, us moderators won`t tolerate silly comments like that....
