What are the new channels on Sky Digital???
Thanks for the advice on the other thread about the new channels popping up on Sky Digital. I thought i would set up this thread purely for info on:
1) what extra channels are available
2)What frequencies and stuff to set them up on.
3) What channel numbers to set the new channels up on (if that makes sense)
4) What is an EPG?
Obviously ITV is now on 103 and ITV2 is on 226. How about Fox and all these regional jobbies. Oh yeah and....
5) what are the chances of getting any porn after the freeview????

To answer most of your questions, head over to http://www.skydigital.mediabullet.co.uk
The "EPG" is the Electronic Program Guide known to us as "Sky Guide", the listings pages.
as for question5, I don`t have a clue
RE: What are the new channels on Sky Digital???
itv sports is testing on a occasional feed on eurobird this should be 4- 5 weeks, what do you think about januarys price increase?
RE: What are the new channels on Sky Digital???
Price increases? Tell me more.....
RE: What are the new channels on Sky Digital???
Price increases? What price increases?? I`ve signed a contract in July stating i will pay x amount each month for a period of one year.
The contract comes under the Consumer Credit Act, so i`m pretty certain they cannot up the price without warning. Although i`m certain they can increase it WITH warning, which is a bit of a bitch.
I pay £16 monthly for basic package, what will it increase to?
RE: What are the new channels on Sky Digital???
i have the movies and sports pack at £35 per month. I hope it aint going to go up again. Sky are just plain greedy!
RE: What are the new channels on Sky Digital???
I`ve got Sky world which is everything. I pay £34 a month, i`ve had no written confirmation off Sky but have heard rumours that it is going up to £37 a month but not until May 2002? I`m seriously thinking about knocking some of the channels on the head to reduce cost, i think alot of people will do this as Sky are getting very greedy and it`s getting to the stage where the price is out of reach for most people. Most people don`t mind paying about £30 a month but when it starts creeping up to nearly £40 people will think twice about it? I know a lot of people at work are thinking along the same lines as me, plus with an every growing dvd collection you`ve probably got most of the films anyway?
RE: What are the new channels on Sky Digital???
I must say I still refuse to be extorted by sky. I was almost tempted once, but then I remembered how much cak they have on when I last visited my bro. I spent most of the time flicking through the channels to see if there was anything on worth watching...alas, there was nought.
Wouldn`t mind having FilmFour though.

Check this: (i wanna copyright this idea as well):
Why dont those overpaid doofuses (is that right word for the plural of doofus? Could be doof-eye or somet - suggestions please) on the executive board of Sky release a a truly tailor-made channel service for us???
We should pay, say £1 per month for all the channels we actually want to watch, i.e if we only want to watch a selection of around 25 extra channels like MTV, Sky Movies etc we would pay £25 per month.
At the moment we pay through the roof to recieve crap like Bid Up TV and Challenge which is utter s***e as Hodge quite rightly points out.
I onlly religiously watch Jackass on MTV and Knight Rider Reruns on Bravo. Which are pretty phat.... what do you guys think???
RE: What are the new channels on Sky Digital???
I agree, SKY are greedy b******s. I for one will be cutting down on my subs.
