LOST on Sky One - No Spoilers please

Watched the first 2 episodes on Sky last night of the 3rd season. Now, as I understand it they are on episode 6 in America and it doesnt return until February. So are Sky going to have a break aswell? If so does anyone know if they will then show it in February in line with America?

Yes - Sky will show the first six episodes up until Christmas then there will be a break til early February. We`ll then get the following episodes 4 days after they are broadcast in the states.

The hour long `explanation` before was brilliantly done. :D
Annoying that the 118118 ad`s are still there. :(
I still fast forward the `flashback` sequences to get to the `meat` of the episodes. ;)

What is the point of the flashbacks ??

Seriously,I find it just as enjoyable without them. :/

I`ve raised this point in the USA thread, I actually lose interest in the flashbacks now. I reckon that when the whole thing is done they will be able to do a fan edit of the show and cut out at least 50% of the flashbacks.

My DVD collection

The flashbacks strike me as nothing but padding.
Maybe the actual storyline is thinner than we think.

I quite like the flashbacks tbh I think it helps the audience to understand many of the choices the characters make on the island and why certain things effect them. for example, SPOILER:
the stuff with Jack`s Dad last night and it looking like he blames himself for his Dad going back on the drink and ultimately dieing
. You wouldnt get that if it wasnt for the flashbacks.
I think its very clever how they flesh out the back stories each year without effecting the whole story

^^ Exactly what Bezza said, the flashbacks are the key to every episode... there are so many episodes where you simply couldn`t know what was really going on without watching the flashbacks as the events in the episode usually correlate somehow to an event in that character`s past, a good example being that Locke was in a wheelchair, which you wouldn`t have a clue about if you skipped the flashbacks.

Admittedly, some of the flashbacks are rubbish... mainly Charlie`s.

Key ???
In what way was last night`s flashbacks key ?? :/
I must be missing something, because they`re nothing but an annoyance to me.
