Page 1 of Royal Mail Thieves?
General Forum
In the past month 4 DVDs from e-tailers (HMV, Play and Sendit) have failed to arrive, along with a Recorded Delivery package of review discs and a single disc from Mark Oates. I don`t believe this is coincidence and think that someone along the line has been helping themselves to free DVDs.
Has anyone else noticed things going astray in the mail and, if so, what did you do?

Sounds like either some light fingered postal workers or complete incompetence on the part of the RM infrastructure down your way.
First things first, get on to your local depot and tell them, with dispatch dates if possible for the mssing items. They may have other complaints which, if the case of a theiving postie/sorting office worker, could be narrowed down to postal routes and shift patterns of employees.

Ditto. Go tell the Post Office bosses. Probably a light fingered postal worker at your local depot. Get them sacked!!! >:(

Some say I`m from Biddenden. Some say my name`s Sue. Some say I`m really Marge on a mission.
Sounds like a trip to the sorting office first thing is in order. Thanks for the advice, I`ll take a list of the dates with me.

All were sent Recorded Delivery, so I claimed against Royal Mail each time for the maximum £32 compensation (even though the actual items were about half that amount). I got the full £32 each time! :D

Sacked? I`d flay their feet and dunk them in vinegar. Stealing mail is such a personal offence, which can of course lead to all sorts of serious nasty business like identity theft.
The worst kind of scum are the ones who pinch a few quid from a kiddies birthday card, and in some cases, forward the empty card on to the recipient. Oh yes, there`s a special place in hell reserved for them.

Report all losses, RM have internal so called "sniffers" who`s job it is to watch the likely lads with wondering hands! I worked for RM a few years ago and in my 10 months seen a few get busted for pinching other people`s gear and as a result lost their jobs and rightly so!!

I sent a claim in for a non arrival earlier in the year and four months later I`m still waiting
...I expect it got lost in the post :/
