Page 1 of Is this Pay Pal message legit`?

I received this message last night. It tells me to click on the hyperlink. I click on it & a page come`s up with lots of links , it also askes for my email & password. I won`t put both in so I clicked the `forgot your password` to see what happened, it just went back to the same page. I then clicked on one of the many links & they all go back to the same opening page. There is no miss spelling & the grammar is correct. Any idea`s.

Would PayPal start an email with... "Dear PayPal Member,"?

There`s a couple of errors in the grammar\syntax that don`t sound right.


I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

just ignore it mate, my friend got the same message and knew it was a con so he gave the wrong details back to the email address ha that i`ll show them. Read it happens all the time so DO NOT REPLY BACK!!!

Been with paypal for years and they have never sent me an email like yours.

Go on ebay/paypal and im sure they have a page that describes what cons are going about regarding emails to paypal members. :)
