Page 1 of DVD still as a canvas print - Suggestions of how to do it please.

I want to create a large canvas print from a DVD Still from "Hero".

How can I save a still on a PC from the DVD at a high enough resolution/file size to be able to upload to Pixmania or similar site, to get a large format Canvas print produced.

DVD is only 720 x 576 pixels which equals just of 0.4 megapixel equivalent so any image capture from dvd will be crap when printed out.

plus its compressed so on halftones/grads/curves itll look blocky

No chance of doing a screen save from a paused DVD and then uploading that at a high resolution then?

I suppose that I could try to take a photo with a digital camera from the TV Screen???

A DVD standard 720x576 MPEG-compressed image would look bad on A4, let alone on a `large format` as you say (I presume you mean A0/A1 size?).

Uploading then downloading/ resampling/ upping resolution in software/ taking snap from tv screen (!) does not change this

Don`t forget it`s also copyrighted.
