Who did a PGCE in DVD Reviewer..?

AH14 (Elite) posted this on Saturday, 24th June 2006, 18:24

I recall somebody did a PGCE last year.
I may be doing that this Sept, to teach I.T in college/Secondary School.
Any advice any one?

I did a PGCE last year (although mine was a SCITT course) and am now teaching IT in a secondary school - it could be me you were thinking of?
Not sure what sort of advice you are after, but my first bit would be - go for it. I really enjoyed my time as a trainee and although I`m having a few problems right now (but that`s another story) I am really enjoying being a teacher.
If there`s anything specific you need to know, just ask.

Did mine in 92/93, so don`t suppose I`ll be much use.

you are also very late for applying.. however..there are still 58 institutes with vacancies in I.T. .. you will most likely need to get a 2:1 in your degree (if you don`t have that already)..
