Its Tonga Doctor - and its plastered all over the news today.

Tonga`s an island of relatively low population. A tsunami would most likely wash over the whole thing...

Got a phone call at 5.30 in the morning here in Auckland and told to "run run, your all going to die"

Apparantly the british media made a huge fuss over nothing and they were still broadcasting the story even after it was scheduled to hit fiji and nothing happened and even after it was supposed to hit New Zealand and didnt.

The news here was laughing saying that they did notice a tsunami but it was only half a meter high.

Well the initial panic that the media had caused has at least highlighted the concern of what may have happened regardless of the size of the wave, If it was left too late then we would be looking at another huge natural disaster and more questions may have been asked over why no alarm system was in place ! when again it was too late ! :o
