reault clio air bag?

Hi. We have just brought a 2000 clio and i was wondering is there a way of turning the passenger airbag off to put a baby on the front seat?

Drive in to a wall at 20mph. That should do it.

Sorry.

If you can turn off the airbag,it should be easy enough to see.
They usually require you to insert the ignition key,so you`re looking for something that looks like a keyhole, with a green and red diagram of the airbag beside it,clearly signifying which is off and which is on.
They`re often in the glovebox,or down the side of the passenger dashboard (so you can only see it with the door open).
If you can`t see anything, you may be screwed.
However, you can still put a baby in the front seat,as long as it`s in a rear-facing carryseat and you put the seat back as far as it can go from the dash.

Apparently some Mondeos has a sensor in the seat so that only when someone or something over a certain weight is in the seat then the airbag is turned on. Could be similair on the Clio. What do the manual or dealers say?

There`s a de-activation thing that uses the ignition key, it`s next to the electric windows on my Clio - not sure what year they brought that in.

Should be a keyhole on the front panel which you can access when you open the passenger door, somewhere by the hinge?
